I wanted to share a pet peeve of mine today…..I guess I am in the mood. What the hell is it with all of these blogs and websites that use the “Buy Me a Beer” Plug In? Has anybody ever actually used these to give a blog a “tip”?
As a blogger are you that desperate that you would put a virtual tip jar up on your blog? I hate Tip Jars in person and I think they are as cheesy, if not more so, in the virtual world.
If you want to make some money with your blog, then smarten the hell up. Figure out a way to do it, sell some ads, sell some text links, learn affiliate marketing, do ANYTHING rather than just sit there like a bum on the street corner with a cup in your hand.
Earn your money…don’t beg for it.

I personally think begging should be a last, last, last resort — virtually it’s even more ridiculous when it’s SO EASY to create graphics, be they banners, buttons, web layouts and so on. And I thought webcomics selling books we’ve already read — on their webpage itself, was bad…
Compared to begging, even working at MCD’s derives more dignity!
Yeah, I think it’s just odd. Perhaps some bloggers think it’s a way to ‘socialize’ with their readers. Anyway, I stumbled upon this while searching for Beggar Blogger.
