When you start amping up your niche site creation schedule to the point of building 2 or 3 sites a week then it becomes necessary to automate or outsource as many things as possible. Two of the tasks that take the most time are the content creation and the link building.
These two tasks are both extremely critical but very time consuming. I am doing pretty well with the niche sites that I build so I don’t mind investing some money into them on the front end.
I have found a writer that will work very reasonably for me in India. You would never know that English isn’t his first language and his articles are always keyword rich, pass Copyscape and actually make sense. I usually order up 5 to 6 500 word articles to get a site going and it costs me 30-40 bucks.
The other task is link building. I have been trying a product called Bookmarking Demon for the last few weeks and I told you a few weeks ago that I would be writing a review of it in the future. That post generated some controversy and a follow up post from me. Apparently some people can’t handle the truth….but you know what….tough. Life is hard…get over it.
BookMarking Demon
Bookmarking Demon is an automated link building program that allows you to submit a combination of your links to dozens of sites automatically. It’s a bit more complex than that but for my purposes here tonight thats enough. Basically you can generate a hundred backlinks in a few minutes time with almost no effort on your part.
That’s very appealing to me. The software is expensive but worth it, if it works.
That’s the problem, it doesn’t. At least it doesn’t work as well as it should or as well as it could. I have a few issues with it and the first is that it isn’t very well documented to explain how to use it. I played and played with it and still haven’t mastered it. If you try to get support then you are met with some guy in Malaysia somewhere that speaks very poor English. A lesson in frustration.
The 2nd beef is that it is supposed to be updated every month to keep up with the new registration procedures from the various bookmarking sites. They change regularly so without an update BD becomes obsolete very quickly.
Missing Update
The developer of the software recently sent out a letter apologizing for being late on the updates. He is developing a total update to the software so has decided to forego the update on the current version. Basically you are left with a program that can bookmark scuttle sites and a few of the popular bookmarking sites but that’s it.
To me that isn’t worth buying right now. I already own it so I will get the update when it comes for free and maybe at that time I will review it again but for now if you are considering bookmarking demon as an option, I wouldn’t spend the money on it. It doesn’t have the horsepower that it claims to without that recent update to keep it current with the bookmarking sites.
If you want a product to improve your niche site strategy, then SEO Elite is a whole nother ballgame. That software package absolutely ROCKS. I will be sharing my thoughts on SEO elite and why it rocks in my newsletter down the road.
For now, I would hold off on buying BookMarking Demon. If it were being updated regularly then I would recommend it with no qualms at all, but it isn’t. So wait until they figure it out and when they do I will share in detail what it is capable of doing for you.

Thanks as i m able to read first the reviews of BMD, I m just going to buy the BMD. But after going through ur review. I slip the idea and looking for the alternative, if any. Please suggest the best method to post social bookmarking for getting back link. I am just crazy to get banck link.
Thanks for the review. I wasn’t sure whether to buy this or not, especially at $147. Don’t think I will now unless the software improves.
SEO Elite is better than BMD!!!!
Thanks for your honest review on BMD, I was just going to purchase this bookmarking software when i stumbled upon this review site, and boy am i glad I did.
A $100+ is a lot of money to through away, i shall be looking for an alternatives to help with my link building.
BMD is absolute garbage. I wasted 3 precious days of my life trying to make it work as advertised. All I got from support were snippets that are shown in the instruction manual which also blows. I had also paid $150 for my version. Oh well, thank click bank for their refund policy
This had made me think twice now! But this page is 2 years old, anyone got a more up to date view? Surely it can’t still be this bad and Bookmarking Demon must have improved since this blog post?
As for Social bot that’s a nightmare to use. Found it quicker to do myself
I happen to disagree. Maybe the first version sucked but BD 5 is a pretty slick program. You can add a proxy and it’s quicker than the other Bookmarking sites out there.
I’ve also tried Social Bot – which was only $29 but doesn’t even compare to BD 5.
Social bot doesn’t automate the account creation like BD 5. With BD 5 you can buy visual aid help which gets you through the captcha crap.
Anyway – I’ve had a good experience with bd 5
Just my .02 though
Thanks for the honest reviews. I was just going to buy this software but after reading these comments, I would rather wait for the updates. Thanks guys.
Thanks for posting this review. I was considering buying it and saw alot of hype from the affiliate marketers. I’m glad to see an honest review of the product. I guess for now I will keep up the manual labor or outsourcing of this task. I can better use that $147 there.
Thanks again.
I just read this and was bewildered. The only problem is that this post is about 2 years old… O well, I guess you’re not doing their company any favors by ranking this high on “Bookmarking Demon Review” with a negative review.
so finally, should we buy BMD or not???
What are the other alternatives?
