Hey, Just as I was getting ready to buy the BMD I thought I might read some reviews first and yours made me put my wallet back into the pocket. Although social automation saves time and a demon doing the job more randomly is better than similar services where submission is done instantaneously, I am glad I you described the limitations of this software.

@Junior – Yes…too many articles and the link value will start to decrease. A varied link profile is the best link profile in my humble opinion.

I can’t tell you the right number, I think it depends on the competition of your keyword that you are targeting but I think I would vary the anchor text that you are using if submitting multiple articles to Ezine.

@E You can interpret it however you like I guess….but I am crystal clear that UAW isn’t good for anything other than maybe cracking the Top 100. I didn’t get a single pingback from almost 400 submissions….not one link has shown up in Yahoo, no referral traffic whatsoever and my rankings went backwards after I used it. You are clearly not familiar with UAW…because you cannot submit 5 unique articles, the system doesn’t work like that.

I could rewrite my articles on Ezine to be unique very quickly, probably in 10 minutes or less and recognize a better gain than I did with 400 submissions to UAW sites? What more evidence could someone want???

I use UAW with a variety of tools to help me rank my sites. Though I’ve had good experiences with it, I know plenty of people who haven’t been so successful. Not sure why that is, but what can you do. How else do you backlink for your sites? I assume you post articles to web 2.0 properties as well. Glad you’re writing this series because I like to see the different approaches people to ranking their sites.

@Bill- ok i understand your point about writing unique articles for the more well known article directories (ezine). I also understand that ezine is not the only good one out there so my question is this… is 1 good link is better than “400 crappy” links… is it possible to write TOO MANY articles for sites like ezine? can it actually hurt you in any way or is there a point where submitting articles to these site will only take you so far??

Have been waiting for your follow up review for the whole 2 weeks. Great findings yet your conclusions and deductions are misleading. UAW could still be working and like you said in the article before this one, Google has caught on to spinned articles by simply identifying synonyms. In general more of the same is bad. So if 5 genuinly unique articles where submitted to UAW those would be more effective than 50 spinned ones that have a footprint.

In that regard then Ezines are still not the solution. If you wrote two more very similar articles to Ezine Google would simply ignore them.

So there is no absolute evidence that UAW DOES NOT Work, but what is looks like a fact is that Google now does not value spinned content.
