Graphic Designer Wanted

Custom Theme

In case you were on the edge of your seat wondering what I have decided in regards to Blogging Essentials then I figured I would share my decision in regards to the theme.

I have decided that I want a completely unique look, something that nobody else has for now.  So I am on the prowl for a designer that can design and code to completion a complete WordPress theme.    I want my very own skin, my own look, the emperor needs a new set of clothes.

I realize this will cost a fair amount of money but I am not worried about that.  I very well may end up selling a variation of this custom theme to recoup the costs involved.

So I don’t have much to say other than Who’s the Best?  Who takes on custom work?  I know a number of the big designers don’t like to take one off projects as they are already committed to other designs.

Help Wanted

So who can help me?  Who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone?  I am going to be contacting some of the better designers that I have heard of but I only know a fraction of what is available.  I’d be extremely grateful for any leads one might give me.

Who’s got the juice?  Who knows the right people?

  1. A new set of clothes, eh? I happen to have a post about an emperor and his fancy clothes, uh . . . blog. Perhaps you’ve read it?

  3. Hi there, I have been reading your blog for a few weeks now. I am a graphic designer, I have built a few wp themes in my day. I was actually in the process of creating a blog theme for distribution anyway. Wanna talk? Maybe we can work something out.

I don’t have any work up at my site yet but feel free to contact me for some examples.

  4. @Terry no I’ve never seen your blog.

@Adrian – I have a magazine theme in mind something similar to ProBloggers setup but with much more color and a little flashier.

@Phil – I am interested but I must say I am going to be shooting pretty high as far as what I want. If you think you are up to it send me some examples via my contact page email. TBEmedia at comcast.net

  6. I do WP themes myself and would be glad to bid on the job. However, I also recommend that you post to the wp-pro mailing list, wp-pro@lists.automattic.com. You should also contact the designers of any themes you like to see if they would do a custom version for you. Most would be happy to get the work. Peace.

  7. Bill,

I am interested in talking to you about your site in further detail. Everyone can say what they’re good at and that they can deliver. I’m a serious designer and let my work speak for itself. I would be more than happy to setup a time to talk in depth about your needs.

  8. Actually, Bill, you’ve seen my blog, just not that one. One of the reasons the RSS subscriptions to SEONoobs increased 60% in the first month after I bought it is because I’ve been friendly in the comments.
