If you read my earlier post then you are aware of the issue with Adsense Secrets 4.0 and the ensuing drama that surrounded it.
I just wanted to post a quick follow up to keep you updated if you had any interest at all. Joel Comm admits openly that he screwed up. He just does it using one of those giant sales pages that are oh so annoying.
I don’t know if it is a sincere admittance of regret or a necessary retreat for cover to save face in light of the growing controversy. He makes his living from selling people information products so he could hardly afford to become personna non grata.
If you’re interested then you can check out his mile long apology page here. Me personally, sorry Joel, I was in your mailing list before but the next time you send me one you will be going into the old SPAM pile.
You might chalk it up to being human but I don’t buy it. Not even for the low, low price of $9.95.

Bill, I’d have to agree. To me, the actions you take when you think no one will notice are much more telling than what you do when you’ve been caught.
Joel, assuming we buy your claim that your shopping cart forced you down this deceptive marketing path, you obviously put your wallet before your customers when you chose to go ahead with the launch as it was. You seem to have sorted the shopping cart issue out now so would it have killed you to delay your launch a day or two?
Ben Cooks last blog post..Skitzzo: @BlgEntrepreneur I like the Recent Twitter thing you have on your sidebar. Where can I find that?
He f’d up big time, but donating all profits (and that’s a few thousand dollars at the very minimum) to charity for the next two weeks as well as a salesy apology is a very noble move on his part.
I agree 100%.
Whilst I think giving money to charity is a good thing, theres no denying this was a move he had to make so I wouldnty say it was noble – he realised his online reputation was hurt badly. He has lost his integrity because of all this.
What about all the other posts by other people selling it via affiliate sales and pretending its news and there was nothing wrong going on – are they donating their money as well? I didn’t think so.
I am sick of these people writing about a good deal when the post is just an advert and nothing else.
