As many of you know I am a big advocate of guest posting for many reasons and I have advocated it many times in the past. I realize that some bloggers have a very difficult time giving up some of their best material to be used on someone else’s blog but the upside is worthwhile.
I need to put my money where my mouth is and increase my exposure around the blogosphere as I have currently only had two guest posts out there in the world. They are here and here if you would care to read them.
The benefits have been very tangible from only two posts. I continue to receive traffic even today from these posts and they are both over a month old. The real benefit has been in the RSS subscribers. Check out the picture below.

You can see where at the end of January or the beginning of February my curve flattened out. I posted those two guest posts at the end of February and the curve started a noticeable upward trend again. I picked up over 70 RSS subscribers since the end of January.
This combined with the traffic that I am getting still is a significant benefit and really I can do far better than just two posts. Think what 10 or 20 of these could do for you?
So if you haven’t tried it yet, get off your lazy butt and give it a shot.
Conclusion
I wanted to pitch you on the benefits before I asked for the sale. Here’s the sell. I have my 3rd post out there on someone else’s blog and I would like nothing more than for you to go check out both my post and the rest of the blog. If you are interested then check out “Are You Blogging Naked” on XFEP.
I’d love nothing more than to hear your comments here on guest posting and I really want to find out if you’re naked over on XFEP. Have a great weekend.
Meanwhile for anyone wandering over here from XFEP then here are some of my favorite articles. I’ll only post pump you with 5 but you can check out my archives for yourself if you are so inclined.

Spot on, Bill. Good guest post over there. It held my attention, was well written, and motivating as well. I also liked the look and feel of the other blog. A clean layout, and easy on the eyes. As to your question. Hmmm. I just may put on my Superwoman undies. That may help a bit, eh? Have a nice weekend.
Tamera Daun’s last blog post..Personal Development. Views on migration.
@Tamera – Hmm where can we find that promo for your blog
But seriously guest blogging is a great way to create exposure and is why I took up my weekly spot at MakeUseOf.com and as you can see by my Feedburner stats it has DEFINATELY helped!
Keep on keeping on! Warm geeky regards

You are more than just a guest poster to me.
You are my friday featured columnist. I am happy to have you and will be looking forward to all of your posts both on here and on xfep.com.
David’s last blog post..Are You Blogging Naked?
@Tamera – Thanks for the comment. I am looking forward to writing there once a week and I hope some of the great readers I have here will support that.
@Karl – NIce job and I agree…guest posting is an opportunity that SHOULD be taken advantage of but for some reason bloggers seem to be either too lazy or just too disinterested to take advantage of the opportunity. If you are so inclined, I am always open if you have a good idea for a guest post here.
@Kyle – Yeah well you can’t all look as good naked as I do I guess.
@David – Thanks for the opportunity. I am looking forward to it and hope that it will benefit both of us down the road. Friday featured columnist sounds better than guest blogger doesn’t it.
Have a great weekend.
