OIO Publisher Ad Management PlugIn

I am not one to write all that many product reviews as I am not sure how much value they bring to readers of this blog but I have to tell you about one product of which I am quickly becoming a raving fan.

A week or so ago I talked about my first DealDotCom purchase and that was the OIO publisher plugin. I have been incredibly busy this week and last night was my first chance to install it and start tweaking the settings.

It took me about 30 seconds to become a huge fan of this plugin. I will say this up front, it is a bit more complex than your typical plugin but it is also infinitely more powerful than most plugins as well. Setting it up is intuitive, proven by the fact that my dumb butt was able to install it and get it functioning.

If you intend to Make Money Blogging by selling ad space on your blog, then this plugin is for you.

What Is It

Good question, what it does is function as an automated ad management system for your blog. If you sell private advertising space, or do sponsored reviews or sell text links then this plugin makes the entire process very painless for both you and your advertisers.

Once you have it set up the features are tremendous. A few of them are listed below.

Banner Rotation - The OIO Plugin will rotate your banner positions for you automatically. You can easily set the number of ad spaces you have as well as how many ads you sell per space. What this means is, say you have a single 300 by 250 ad box, rather than only being able to sell that space once this month, you can set it to however many ads you want to rotate through the box. Very cool.

Ad Variation - The plugin can control everything from text links, inline banners, sidebar banners, paid reviews and you can even set it up to take payment for custom items. Let’s say you sell your own custom theme, it can handle it.

Affiliate Tracking - Get this, if you want to run an affiliate program for a product or service that you are offering, then OIO has an affiliate tracking function where your readers can get a unique link and OIO will track it all of you. How freakin cool is that.

Marketplace - A marketplace is available where you can list your site, making it easier for potential advertisers to find you. Even better is OIO is developing a full scale ad network that will significantly ramp up your exposure to potential advertisers.

Commission - Great news, there isn’t any. Unlike some ad servers that take part of your payments as commission, this plugin allows you to keep 100% of your funds. The only thing you might pay is paypal fees or something of that nature.

Digital Downloads - Say you offer an ebook for sale or as I mentioned your own custom theme then OIO is there for you again. They can take payment and facilitate the entire process. This could be a significant advantage and be much easier to use than whatever you are doing now, all controlled on your own site.

There are a number of other features built into this plugin that I haven’t mentioned but I am sure you can check it out for yourself. For me what I like is that it automates my advertising space and makes the process very simple.

Return on Investment

You can even set up custom emails that go out to your advertisers when they purchase or when an ad expires etc. You can even send out a reminder a few days prior to an ad expiring so they don’t let it run out without renewing. Of course, YOU never send it, the plugin handles all of this for you.

Even better is that an advertiser can purchase, pay and upload their ad all without me having to touch a thing.  Anything that saves me time, effort and aggravation is so very worth it to me, unless of course the price is ridiculous. Fortunately for us this plugin is priced very reasonably at 37 dollars.

I have been using ShowYourAdHere for a months and the commissions I have paid are almost that much already. I will earn this money back and MORE easily in a years time.

Conclusion

If you can’t tell, I am a big fan of this plugin and some of the more skeptical might think this is a sponsored review, but it isn’t. If you look through my archives I don’t do many product pumps, I try to only blog about things I use myself and think are worth your money.

This plugin is one of them. It might not be for the average recreational blogger that isn’t intent on selling ad space but if you are a MMO or you are monetizing your blog via private ad sales or even someone who likes the convenience that it offers then this plugin is for YOU.

At 37 dollars it isn’t a bank breaker and if you buy it I can assure you that you will like it. It is a little more complex than an average plugin but they offer great support. Hopefully you find it as useful as I hope to once I have it fully setup, I am still exploring all of the features.
