The “Noob” takes a Broadside

Hey…keeping with my lazy bones weekend tradition I will use Sunday to share some love with some fellow bloggers.  Anytime a make money blog posts about their favorite blogs, inevitably John Chow and Shoe will be mentioned. 

It never fails…..anybody who has been blogging for more than an hour knows who those two are.  If you don’t, then I suggest you simply stop blogging, because there is no hope.   I won’t mention them again in the entire thread….promise.                                                                     

I wrote an article earlier this week about my Five Must Read Daily blogs but I am going to mention another blog that I tend to check in on from time to time.  His site is also relatively new and I first ran across it from his Entrecard being on my blog one day and I find myself returning fairly often to see what’s up.

It has that familiar “baby” face on the logo that I am sure any of the Entrecard readers have become familiar with.  The “Noob”, as he often refers to himself, writes with a style that I like.  He has that same mix of sarcasm, cynicism, pessimism and  optimism all in one tidy package that I personally find entertaining.

He recently wrote about anonymity on the internet that really inflamed one of his readers.  In fact Justin Dupre might have blown a gasket in his response to The Noob, the diagnosis isn’t in but you can see his response to the Noob below.

I will quote a few of his “rants” from the post that he wrote in “response” the horrible injustice that the Noob did to the internet community.  If you want to see the whole thing then hit the link above and read it yourself.

“So what I get from this image is that you might as well hide your face behind a paper bag. BloggerNoob does not post his image on his blog, because it gives him the ability to pretend he is someone he is not. (A real blogger, instead ofthe “noob” he is… just kidding)”

Kind of angry guy it seems….maybe some hostility towards the noob??  Seems like a Donkey on the Edge.  (shameless Shrek reference.)

“Looking silly or not, a suit is required for nearly every in-real-life business deal you will ever make. I couldn’t think of anything better to wear in an image, actually. You want an expensive suit? Than follow my blog and you can get one.”

A bold claim…..”if you follow his blog, he can teach you how to afford an expensive suit?”   My first thought was if he even knows what an expensive suit is?  Target instead of Wal-Mart?  

I told you I am both cynical and sarcastic.  What do I know. 

 I lifted a picture of Mr. Dupre from his site so we can put a face with the blogger who apparently feels comfortable enough to slam a fellow Make Money blogger in one sentence and then decree his money making ability by claiming that you will be able to afford a suit if you read his blog.  

I haven’t seen the Noobs comeback yet, nor do I know if he is going to bother.  If he does, then I hope it is as succinct and inciteful as I expect or, maybe he’ll just tell Justin to buzz off.  Who knows,  maybe he will just ignore him, but I doubt it.

 In the meantime….it seems like the picture below kind of seems appropriate doesn’t it?
