I would think that acquiring established blogs is an excellent idea. The topic of page rate has been discussed on your blog here earlier, and goodness there is much disagreement. It may be an idea to find blogs with decent PR that have recently been deserted (look more than siesta), and develop a good PR blog, developing that side, and playing the Google rules. In other words, playing in both fields. Both being tied to the same name and concept.

Tamera's last blog post..A Life of Integrity

Tamera...you are so right. I have 10 or 12 blogs in my reader right now that haven't posted in a few weeks. I assume they have gone dark, they may not even know it yet.

I wonder if their is any value in contacting some of these bloggers to see if they want to sell their blogs? Definitely a head start on starting from scratch and probably some great domaiin names going to waste.

Don't kick yourself too hard...hindsight always gives you much more clarity than you had at the time the decision was made. It's frustrating but unavoidable.

Thanks for the comment....I am going to have another guest post shortly on blogtrepreneur.com too....in fact I will likely be posting on their regularly from now on.

You should check that blog out...it's good stuff.

Bill's last blog post..The 7 Habits of Highly Successful Bloggers

Great guest post you wrote over there. I was just telling my spouse yesterday that I see a lot of people dropping out, and I didn't expect it to be so many. Out of all of the blogs I subscribe to, and like to read, over half of them rarely post. Or, they disappear. I did the whole wanting to quit over and over with my business' website over a period of 6 years. I also have an "almost made it big" experience at a time I put it aside, that makes me want to kick myself sometimes. Anyhow. I have decided to pace myself completely different with my blog. What you wrote about charging batteries is so right on. We need to continuously inspire ourselves.

Thanks for your tips about guest-blogging.

Bill, once again, very nice post. I couldn't agree with you more about guest posting. It's a great benefit to both sides and as you said, it also helps with networking. Keep up the great work!
