Honestly I must say that I am extremely hard on myself and my posts because of the very thing you speak about in this article. Sometimes it seems that no matter how hard I try, some of my posts sound like cookie cutter ramblings. Maybe because there is so much information that is the same and even if said in a different way the main point is still the same. I fnd myself frustrated about this, and I try to come up with ways to imporve myself. I wll take this article to heart the next time I post.

If you plan of being the best you have to do what other bloggers don't do and do it better. If you want to be around in the future.

Awesome Blog! Very Sticky...so sticky in fact...I fell asleep reading it last night....noooo not because it was boring..lol...but because of all the great advise and the colorful commentary. You really do keep your reader's attention...not at all your typical MMO blog! I found your blog through Tamera and I'm glad that I did! I'm new to blogging and appreciate the HONEST advise!

<em>RegularGuy's last blog post..<a href='http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/CustodyDivorceAndTheCourtSystem/~3/260038654/lets-talk-about-law-guardian.html' rel="nofollow">Let's Talk About The Law Guardian</a></em>

@Random - Nice catch....if you pay attention to the fine print you will see that a number of them were "sponsored" posts that someone paid them to write and direct you to a certain site. Weak attempt at a "funnel" if you ask me.

@Haney - Amen it's tough. It's even tougher when you are writing in a niche you have no passion or knowledge about. If you pick a niche that you love and that you KNOW then writing posts becomes a piece of cake.

@Futon-Matt - Thanks man...appreciate your continued support here.
@Landon - Ditto...thanks man.

@KG - Point taken, keeping your head up is critical to be a leader and as I said above....inspiration is miles apart from imitation. Love the bird analogy.....that's the kind of analogy that you can write an entire blog post about is something as simple as that.

I would like to think I am a leader, although that doesn't mean that I don't pay attention to what is happening in the blogosphere and don't mimic other bloggers who do interesting and clever things with the medium, so maybe I follow too.

Perhaps bloggers are like a flock of birds migrating south for the winter, where several birds take the lead at various stages.

Either way, excellent post. Keep up the good work.
