@SM and Simon - thanks to both of you for the feedback. I am stumbling my way through Firebug and finding issues one by one. The culprit was some javascript files that should have been commented out.

That improved it dramatically but it's still a skooch slow. I am fixing a few things here and there and eliminating useless plugins etc.

Hopefully it will be an Indy car before too long.

:-) I love helpful people. Thanks again.

Everything looks to be back to normal now also. There was something very strange going on with these single article pages, but it seems you were able to correct it. :)

My page load is working fine. I am using Firefox. I also tested it in IE and that worked fine as well.
I would check and see what the browsers are of the slow page loads and also what version too.

If I would - I would blame it on a plug in or a JS. That's what usually gets mine. But, Like I said - tested with both and no page load problems.

Simple Mindz's last blog post..Goodbye Jacq - my special feathered friend

@Simon - Sent you an email. I would be forever grateful to anyone that can help me solve my slow page load issue.

I don't know what I did to my site but I must have done something because my host says everything is working fine. The tracer tests look normal.

What Java script is it looking for?

Handbags at 20 paces. ;)

Btw, very strange page loading going on (as noted above). Firebug tells me I'm downloading over 6mb per page - possibly hanging on the js files that can't be found?

This gave me a much needed laugh - thanks for the recap - it was great! I need to come here more often.

And I second the post about Leo & his Zen Habits blog - sounds like some in the MMO blogosphere may want to check it out for tips on being constructive, productive, and playing well with others. He may even have some lessons on how to have a civil discourse.

Thanks again for putting a humorous spin on this brouhaha. I can't stop laughing.....

Great roundup Bill, and in all honesty, it just saddens me sometimes when people have to go on the attack all the time, all guns blazing...just because they have a blog and have the "right" to do so.

Many bloggers think that controversy is a sure way to get noticed (I mean come on, John Chow did it...), but take a look at the REALLY big blogs out there. For me, Leo from ZenHabits has managed to do an amazing job by just being his normal, kind self and let his peaceful content do the talking. Collis and the gang from FreelanceSwitch and others have also done something similar.

I feel a blog post brewing, but sometimes, this MMO blogosphere just frustrates me.

Adnan's last blog post..RevResponse - B2B Publisher Network Review
